D. "Clinical Trials/Research Studies"

There are on-going investigational studies, clinical trials, or research treatments that offer treatments not yet available to everyone.

The Pharmaceutical companies, in association with major Universities and Academic Hospital Centers often investigate new medications, surgical methods, or therapies that have proven to be effective in animals.   These are not approved for wide use in humans.  However, the by doing these clinical trials, the doctors want to approve these new and better treatments for everyone's use and benefit.

Finding them and enrollment into these clinical and research trials can be difficult and very limited.  The stage of treatment that the patient is in may qualify you for one clinical trial while disqualifying you for another.
